The worst of fears have come to Vancouver; they are playing games without their goalie who is currently the leading vote leader for all Western Conference goaltenders in Roberto Luongo. With a strained groin, Luongo is listed as week to week but for Canuck fans that seems like months since he’s last played in goal. Currently sitting in first place in the Northwest Division by two points and third overall in the Western Conference playoffs, a few slips in games without their number one net minder could have them losing their division lead and they will be spiraling down the playoff race. The good news is that Luongo was injured before the All Star break so they will have plenty of time to make up any games they lose during his absence, the bad news is that the groin is a tender injury and this could be injured again before the playoffs start.
