The 2nd NHL Winter Classic was just that, a classic game! I’ve spoken to a few people yesterday and today and the game reached out to the casual sports fan as well as the non sports fan. The overwhelming added plus to this game was that the game was played outdoors and the snow throughout the game really added a WOW factor. What the NHL needs to do is listen to their fans and make this a yearly event and keep it on New Years Day since you have most TV viewers at home and it gives them another option to watch a new event, I mean how long can you really watch any of the parades on TV?

If you are a NHL jersey enthusiast then you recognized these throwback jerseys that both teams wore yesterday. Buffalo wore the white, blue and gold jerseys that were last worn by the team during the 1995-96 season and the Pittsburgh Penguins wore a light blue and black uniform that dated back to the 1970’s.
